On August 7th, 2019, accessiBe marked the summer with an evening beachside conference on everything WordPress. It was the perfect opportunity for WordPress developers, web design agencies, and marketers to learn more about accessibility in WordPress, and to network and make new connections.
The WordPress conference took place at Yama Seaside Conference Garden, in Tel-Aviv, in connection with Guerilla, one of Israel’s leading coding communities. It was attended by around 1,000 WordPress developers and accessiBe partners, including leading figures from the web industry.
The program
After a lavish barbeque dinner, a chance to network, and a cold beer or two, participants settled down against the sunset to listen to experts share their WordPress wisdom.
The evening included:
“Everything You Wanted to Know About WordPress and Dared to Ask!”
Eyal Borgman, WordPress expert, and CEO of 10bit, answer burning questions collected from the WordPress community. We selected the 5 most interesting submissions, and Eyal addressed them all in his talk.
“Website Accessibility in 2019 - How to Access WordPress Website in 5 Minutes”
Ohev Zion, code master, and Shir Ekerling, CEO of accessiBe, discussed the impact of the October 2017 Accessibility Act on business owners and web developers and demonstrated how to implement an accessible system on a WordPress site.
“How to Run a WordPress Agency from Outer Space”
Ohev Zion, a growth hacker, revealed the biggest new opportunities in the WordPress space and shared tips and tactics for acting upon them to make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year through WordPress.
“Open Mic Q&A”
Business success rests upon productive collaborations with the right people, so we invited designers, developers, marketers, and content experts to take the stage and ask for collaboration on a project.
As well as the full program, plentiful food and beer, and stunning seaside setting, accessiBe gave away a number of prizes to our most valuable partners, including airline tickets, a vacation for 2 in Barcelona, and a free course in full-stack development at Guerilla. The evening was a great success, with participants absorbing new ideas, effective skills, and making new connections.
