Donnie Welch Advocate Testimonial
Donny, why is web accessibility important accessibility?
Web accessibility is really about equal access, and it's not dissimilar from the right to a free, inappropriate education that the idea acts in the US outline, especially now is like web-based and digital content becomes more and more important in education.
Suppose you're creating content for kids or students that’s not accessibly designed. In that case, you effectively deny equal access to the millions of students who require accommodations in the classroom every day because the web and the classroom aren't separate spaces anymore.
And they haven't been for a while, but it just becomes all the more apparent now that we're not working to make the web as inclusive and accessible and the content we put on the web as inclusive and accessible as our schools and classroom spaces, we're not meeting the needs of millions of students.
